Location

The region of Raja Ampat (West Papua, Indonesia) is situated in the Coral Triangle, the centre of maximum marine species richness. Raja Ampat is considered to harbour the world's highest diversity of both marine species and habitats. Currently a focal point for marine conservation in Indonesia (see TNCCI), it contains several marine parks. It is also home to numerous marine lakes, mostly unknown to science.

This project will be a comprehensive scientific survey of the marine lakes of the islands Gam, Kofiau, Mansuar, Misool and Wayag.
